The X system of rating has always been controversial. It is said to be the cause behind the constant inflation and disproportionation of worth in pokemon, and in general, has bred quite a bit of conflicting views. Quite a number of older players, staff members included, prefer not to use such a system. In the past, there have been rate sites created by reputed players such as Derextreme, Numbers and Zidane, but they have been taken down as of date.
Having said that, the X system is a easily understood estimate, serving as a broad guideline especially for beginners, amateurs and even some veterans who prefer it, which is why we're bringing it back here. You won't find the rates of every pokemon. Nevertheless, there are some useful rates for the more commonly traded Golds, Shinies and Darks, so that you won't find yourself completely lost in the trade section of TPPC forums. These rates are gathered from my four active years in the RPG, since 2011, from actual trades I've seen or personally done. If you have any feedback on the rates of pokemon, or would like to contribute an opinion, feel free to drop me a PM on forums and I will address them as soon as i can!
Before anything, you are strongly encouraged to read this page first.

Note: No rate is ever absolute, or official. There is never a correct or wrong rate to a pokemon, but rates do provide a reflection of the comparative worth of one pokemon relative to another. In other words, rates aren't fixed. Furthermore, as time passes, they tend to fluctuate. I will try to keep them updated from time to time. Remember, there is more than one way to fix a trade deal without referring to numerical values. If it is a pokemon in your dream roster or a long-time goal of yours, you should not worry about paying significantly more 'X' than is reflected here.
